Role Description This full-time Staff Data Scientist role is an on-site position based in Toronto, ON. The Staff Data Scientist will lead the design and implementation of advanced analytical models, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into data science solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include exploring and cleaning data, performing statistical analyses, building and validating predictive and prescriptive models, and creating clear visualizations and reports for stakeholders. The role involves mentoring other data professionals, establishing best practices in analytics, and contributing to the overall data strategy and roadmap. The Staff Data Scientist will also collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production and monitor their performance over time.
Qualifications
- Strong Data Science skills, including experience with machine learning frameworks and model development.
- Solid foundation in Statistics, with the ability to design experiments and apply appropriate statistical methods.
- Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Analysis to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Experience with Data Visualization tools and techniques to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (such as Python or R) and familiarity with SQL.
- Experience working
