A NewSpace startup near Paris is developing an ultra-light, deployable solar array for LEO satellites, in-house, end to end. The senior engineering team has come from major space and aerospace programmes, and the whole stack goes from schematic to flight hardware without leaving the building.
They're looking for a Senior Solar Array Mechanical Engineer to own a major part of that hardware: panel structure, PV integration, and the deployment mechanism. Not a slice of it, not a supporting role on it. Concept through qualification through volume production, with your name on the outcome.
A good fit looks like:
→ 5+ years designing spacecraft or launch vehicle hardware, ideally with solar array or deployable structures
→ More than one full development cycle, blank sheet to orbit or launch pad
→ Deep comfort with lightweight structures, deployable mechanisms, and CAD/FEA
→ A track record of being fully responsible for a significant piece of hardware, not just contributing to one
