Job Description
The SAP Functional Consultant will lead functional analysis and solution delivery across SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HCM, and SAP Ariba. Working across consulting engagements, the role will convert business priorities into clear functional designs, guide configuration and validation activities, and help clients achieve measurable improvements in HR, workforce administration, and procurement processes.
Success will depend on balancing module expertise with strong consulting judgement. You will engage stakeholders from discovery through deployment, challenge unclear requirements constructively, manage functional risks, and provide reliable guidance when solutions need to be adapted to client operating models. The position offers broad scope for a consultant who can work across disciplines while maintaining quality and accountability in every delivery phase.
Operating from Dubai, you will contribute to project planning, workshops, documentation, testing, issue resolution, and post-go-live support as required. Your impact will be visible through well-designed SAP processes, confident client decision-making, controlled delivery, and solutions that are adopted effectively by end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional discovery sessions to understand workforce, human capital, talent, and procurement requirements.
- Assess existing processes and recommend SAP-enabled improvements across SuccessFactors, SAP HCM, and Ariba.
- Develop functional concepts, process maps, solution designs, and configuration documentation aligned with agreed business outcomes.
- Coordinate or perform functional configuration activities within the relevant SAP modules and support integration considerations.
- Plan and facilitate workshops, demonstrations, conference room pilots, user acceptance testing, and solution walkthroughs.
- Manage functional defects, enhancement requests, dependencies, and scope questions through structured analysis and resolution.
- Prepare clients for deployment through training input, user guidance, data-readiness activities, and operational handover.
- Provide post-implementation support and identify opportunities to improve solution performance, adoption, and business value.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in SAP functional consulting, implementation, or application support within a client-facing environment.
- Strong functional capability in SAP SuccessFactors, with practical understanding of relevant employee lifecycle or talent processes.
- Working knowledge of SAP HCM, including core HR processes and the relationship between employee data and organisational structures.
- Hands-on familiarity with SAP Ariba and its role in procurement, supplier, purchasing, or spend-management processes.
- Ability to connect requirements across HR, workforce, and procurement workstreams rather than treating each module in isolation.
- Experience producing functional specifications, process documentation, test scenarios, issue assessments, and implementation deliverables.
- Confidence facilitating stakeholder discussions, presenting solution options, and explaining technical or process implications in clear business language.
- Strong analytical judgement, structured problem-solving ability, and discipline in managing priorities across concurrent consulting assignments.
- Professional fluency in English and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders from different cultural and functional backgrounds.
- Availability to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for client-site or project-related engagement where required.
