Program Support Coordinator / Credentialing Support Specialist

Position Summary
The Program Support Coordinator / Credentialing Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the department through data entry, credentialing assistance, provider outreach, and file management. This role supports a mission-driven culture focused on customer service, accountability, dignity, and high-quality performance while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Program Support – 95%
* Support department operations and collaborate with team members to achieve short- and long-term departmental goals.
* Perform accurate data entry of documents, files, and various data sources into internal systems.
* Conduct outreach calls to providers or stakeholders for data collection and verification purposes.
* Assist in preparing credentialing files and documentation for review.
* Maintain and update provider credentialing records and databases.
* Respond to inquiries from providers and internal staff regarding credentialing status and related processes.
* Monitor workflow and notify supervisors regarding issues impacting productivity, turnaround time, or quality.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and secure all Protected Health Information (PHI) appropriately.
* Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Additional Duties – 5%
* Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of data entry or administrative support experience required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a managed healthcare environment.
* Knowledge of provider data management and credentialing processes.
* Experience using provider databases and credentialing systems.
