Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills and proficiency working with:
- Windows Server operating systems, Linux Operating Systems, users administration, file system, software, and services
- Understanding of servers and various storage RAID configuration
- Active Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup
- In-Depth Knowledge of Nutanix Hypervisor Migration best practices - Required
- In-Depth Knowledge of VMware Hypervisor Migration to Nutanix AHV Hypervisor
- Knowledge in Nutanix Cluster Deployment - required
- Fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall
- Fundamental understanding of security principles, ACL, Encryption
- Scripting: PowerShell, bash, ksh or perl for automating routine tasks
- Experienced with monitoring system health and performance, able to provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts
- Disaster recovery planning and ability to perform backup and restore for systems, applications and data
- Patch and firmware installation and management
- Understanding of Baselining, utilizing Industrial Defender - preferred
- Candidate must be knowledgeable of Darksite patching of Nutanix Hypervisor and components as well as other Hypervisors. - preferred
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Information Technology) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in IT Support.
- Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance and how it effects best practices in Datacenters - Preferred
The ideal candidate is well organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines with a safety mindset.
This individual must also exercise good judgment, integrity, and render sound business decisions. The applicant should possess strong oral and written communication skills and able to produce documentation on solutions and system design.
The successful candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of various computing platforms from servers, networks, storage including scripting experience for automation. Must have the ability to lift/transport server equipment when needed. Must be able to provide off-hour, on-call support for server and other system related issues that requires travel to various supported sites. Must be willing and able to work overtime and be flexible with work hours to respond to emergencies or scheduled work that must be done either prior to or after normal business hours. Must have the means and be able to travel to various Company locations.
Must have a valid driver's license.
