We are partnering with an enterprise client in Sydney to modernise their customer engagement platforms and unify core enterprise systems. We are seeking an experienced Salesforce & MuleSoft Integration Specialist to represent our organisation and take technical ownership of end-to-end API integration, middleware orchestration, and CRM platform connectivity.
In this role, you will bridge the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud) and core legacy backends within our client’s environment. You will be instrumental in architecting API-led connectivity frameworks (System, Process, and Experience layers), building bidirectional data synchronisations, and ensuring high-availability data exchange across the enterprise.

Core Responsibilities
- API & Integration Architecture: Design, build, and deploy enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4) and the Salesforce platform.
- Salesforce Core Engineering: Develop custom integrations, Apex web services, platform events, and Change Data Capture (CDC) triggers to communicate with middleware layers.
- Data Transformation & Mapping: Build complex data transformations using DataWeave 2.0 to normalise payloads between CRM objects and legacy systems (ERP, core banking, data warehouses).
- Security & Governance: Configure OAuth 2.0 flows, JWT bearer token authentication, mutual TLS (mTLS), and API policies across MuleSoft API Manager.
- Performance & Error Handling: Implement automated exception handling, dead-letter queues, and telemetry logging across live production integrations.
- CI/CD & Delivery: Automate build and deployment pipelines for Mule applications and Salesforce metadata using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Selection Criteria
- Integration Platform Depth: Proven commercial experience designing and developing integrations on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4).
- Salesforce Fluency: Hands-on experience with Salesforce development (Apex, REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, LWC).
- Data Transformation: Strong practical skills in DataWeave 2.0 and JSON/XML mapping.
- Enterprise Protocols: Deep understanding of REST, GraphQL, messaging queues (JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ), and OAuth authentication standards.
- Location Requirements: Currently residing in Australia with valid work rights or eligibility for 482 visa sponsorship/transfer.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD) and/or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer (PD1 / PD2).
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) or Health Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerised deployments (RTF - Runtime Fabric) or AWS.
