Role Description The Medical Assistant role at CRH Healthcare is a full-time, on-site position located in Villa Rica, GA. The Medical Assistant supports urgent care providers by preparing exam rooms, taking and documenting vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and assisting with examinations and minor procedures. This role includes performing point-of-care testing, administering medications as directed, and ensuring accurate and timely charting in the electronic medical record. The Medical Assistant also helps manage patient flow, supports front desk functions as needed, provides clear patient instructions, and maintains a clean, safe clinical environment in alignment with CRH Healthcare’s quality and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Clinical skills in taking vital signs, performing basic clinical procedures, and assisting providers with examinations and minor treatments.
- Ability to document accurately in electronic medical records, follow clinical protocols, and adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.
- Strong patient service skills, including clear communication, empathy, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
- Teamwork and reliability, with the capacity to collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current MA certification (or eligibility) preferred.
- Basic proficiency with computers and medical office systems; prior experience in urgent care, primary care, or ambulatory clinical settings is a plus.
- Current CPR/BLS certification and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
