At Orbis Education & Care, we're committed to providing specialist education and care for children and young people with autism, complex needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Our approach is person-centred and empowering, ensuring every learner is supported to develop, achieve, and thrive in a way that's right for them.

About Our Swansea Schools

As a member of our bank team, you'll have the opportunity to work across both of our specialist schools in Swansea:

- Dan Y Coed School, Gowerton – A purpose-built school offering a calm, structured learning environment with small class sizes and highly personalised support.

- Ty Trafle School, West Cross – A specialist setting focused on helping pupils build confidence, independence, and life skills through tailored educational programmes and therapeutic support.

Both schools share a commitment to providing outstanding education and creating positive outcomes for every learner.

As a Learning Support Assistant, You Will

- Support teachers to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them develop social and academic skills.

- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through patience, empathy, and encouragement.

- Assist with personal care routines where required, ensuring every child's comfort and dignity.

- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support each pupil's individual progress.

- Help organise and take part in creative, hands-on learning activities, both in and out of the classroom.

We're Looking For Someone Who

- Has a caring, compassionate attitude and a genuine passion for helping children and young people.

- Brings energy, patience, and a positive approach to every day.

- Is adaptable, reliable, and confident working across different school environments.

- Holds GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).

- Ideally has experience working with children with additional learning needs, although full training is provided.

In Return, We Offer

- A supportive, friendly workplace where your contributions are valued.

- Flexible bank opportunities across both Swansea schools, providing variety and valuable experience.

- Ongoing training and development opportunities.

- The chance to make a real, lasting impact in the lives of the young people you support.

Please note: This role involves working with children in a regulated capacity and requires an Enhanced DBS Check, including a Barred List check.

If you're ready to be part of a team that believes in potential, progress, and positivity, apply today and start your journey with Orbis Education & Care, supporting learners across Dan Y Coed School (Gowerton) and Ty Trafle School (West Cross).
