The Role
We are looking for a Real-Time Operations Engineer to join our Real-Time Operations Center (RTOC) within International Operations. You will monitor live drilling-data feeds between the service companies and the operator, safeguard their integrity and availability, and provide the technical support needed to resolve incidents without disrupting the operation.
What You'll Do
- Monitor real-time drilling-data feeds, catch dropouts or inconsistencies, and drive them to resolution.
- Maintain data integration, transmission, and integrity between the service companies and the operator through the WITS0 and WITSML standards.
- Configure and maintain WITSML stores, dashboards, and visualization infrastructure.
- Provide second-line (L2) technical support: triage, root-cause analysis, escalation, and SLA compliance.
What You Bring
- 3+ years in real-time data operations, drilling monitoring, or L2 support in oil & gas
- Command of the WITS0 and WITSML standards
- Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, and networking
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Availability for 24/7 shift and on-call coverage (mission-critical operation)
- A real differentiator for us: hands-on experience applying AI to monitoring and incident resolution, from anomaly detection and predictive alerting to automating workflows with LLMs and tools like n8n
Nice to Have
• Familiarity with industry real-time data acquisition, historian, and visualization platforms.
• Prior experience in real-time operations centers (RTO/RTOC) or with service companies such as SLB, Halliburton, or Baker Hughes.
• Certifications in Linux (RHCE), cloud (AWS/Azure), or ITIL.
• Wellsite experience (drilling rigs), onshore or offshore.
Compensation package:
- Monthly gross salary 30,000 MXP
