We're looking for an experienced Senior Agentic Data Engineer to join our Client's global data organization and help build the next generation of intelligent and automated data infrastructure.
This role is ideal for a highly technical Data Engineer with hands-on experience building AI agents, LLM-powered applications, and intelligent automation. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of data infrastructure, cloud engineering, analytics, and generative AI to automate data platform operations and build scalable, production-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain autonomous AI agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph and LLMs such as Anthropic Claude.
- Develop agentic data ingestion mechanisms that connect upstream systems including CRM, ERP, Product, and HRIS platforms to cloud data warehouse environments.
- Design automated solutions that detect, isolate, and address schema changes and data pipeline issues.
- Develop near real-time data streaming architectures and API integrations using Python, Kafka, Spark, or similar technologies.
- Use Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code to securely provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Develop AI-powered solutions capable of translating natural-language requests into dbt models, optimized SQL, and automated BI dashboards.
- Build automation that improves data pipeline management, analytics, BI development, monitoring, and governance.
- Implement intelligent data monitoring, RBAC governance, PII masking, and data lineage through agentic workflows.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, IT, Security, and business teams to develop scalable data solutions.
- Proactively identify opportunities to automate repetitive data platform activities and improve the reliability and efficiency of data operations.
Job Specification
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, AI/Software Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for building data pipelines, API integrations, automation scripts, and data processing workflows
- Hands-on experience building AI agents, tool-calling workflows, or LLM-powered applications is required
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Anthropic Claude APIs, or similar AI/LLM frameworks
- Practical experience writing and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Experience designing and optimizing cloud data environments, particularly Snowflake or AWS, is preferred
- Familiarity with dbt, modern data modeling frameworks, and version-controlled transformation tools is preferred
- Experience with Kafka, Spark, or other streaming technologies is preferred
- Experience building and integrating APIs and enterprise data sources is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently on complex technical projects.
