Job Summary
Mid-level software developer role responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting modern cloud-based applications and data solutions. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of professional experience building full-stack and cloud-native applications using AWS technologies, Python, PySpark, and SQL Server. This role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, experience working in Agile teams, and the ability to independently deliver high-quality solutions while collaborating across engineering, product, and business stakeholders. Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality is expected.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, enhance, and support applications and services deployed in AWS cloud environments.
- Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using Python, PySpark, SQL Server, and modern application development frameworks.
- Design and optimize database structures, complex queries, stored procedures, and data integration processes.
- Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected, scalable solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture and implementation decisions.
- Write secure, efficient, and maintainable code following established development standards and best practices.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and productivity improvements while ensuring appropriate validation and governance.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex application and data issues.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, quality standards, and development processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, QA engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, release management, and operational support activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Monitor application health, performance, reliability, and security, recommending improvements as needed.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience building enterprise applications and services.
Hands-on experience with:
- AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development
- Python and PySpark development
- SQL Server and relational database design and development
- RESTful APIs and distributed application architectures
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable applications in production environments.
- Proficiency with Git-based source control, CI/CD practices, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools and integrating them into software engineering workflows.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and application security best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to independently manage work assignments and drive technical solutions from design through implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience within healthcare, health insurance, or other regulated industries, including knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
- Experience with data engineering and analytics platforms, including Databricks, AWS Glue, Athena, Redshift, or related AWS data services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting production applications and participating in incident response and operational support.
- Exposure to application observability, monitoring, and performance optimization tools.
- AWS certifications or other relevant cloud certifications
