Overview
We are looking for an experienced Network Security Architect with strong Cisco security and networking expertise to support the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise network security environments. This is a freelance contract role working with stakeholders across infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect secure enterprise network solutions.
- Lead security assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Define and implement network security standards and best practices.
- Design and support Cisco-based security technologies including:
- Cisco Firepower
- Cisco Secure Firewall (ASA/FTD)
- Cisco ISE
- Cisco Secure Access / SASE
- Cisco Umbrella
- Cisco VPN solutions
- Review and improve network segmentation, access controls, and security policies.
- Work closely with engineering teams during deployments and migrations.
- Support troubleshooting of complex network and security issues.
- Produce technical documentation, architecture designs, and implementation plans.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Network Security Architect or Senior Network Security Consultant.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco security technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF)
- Firewalls
- VPN technologies
- Network segmentation
- Zero Trust principles
- Secure network architecture
- Experience designing enterprise-scale network security solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP Security or CCIE Security.
- Experience with cloud networking and security (Azure and/or AWS).
- Knowledge of SASE, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust frameworks.
- Experience working within multinational or enterprise environments.
