Our client seeks a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own the lifecycle of Kubernetes-based infrastructure on AWS. You will design and manage EKS clusters, build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot networking and deployment issues, implement security best practices, and optimize cost and performance. You will document architectures and procedures and drive incident resolution. This role supports a video service integration environment with high release volume and significant automation investment.

Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and manage AWS EKS clusters including node groups, autoscaling, and upgrades.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across VPCs, subnets, route tables, load balancers, DNS, security groups, IAM, and connectivity.
- Investigate and resolve build and deployment failures from source through running workloads.
- Manage and optimize S3 configurations including lifecycle policies, access controls, replication, and cost.
- Perform resource optimization, right-size instances, analyze cost allocation, and eliminate waste.
- Implement and maintain security best practices including least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, pod security, and secrets management.
- Monitor cluster health, configure alerting, and drive incident response.
- Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience across EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ELB, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS including provisioning, workload management, Helm, and pod or node troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to debug complex networking and routing issues in cloud environments.
- Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD including pipelines, runners, artifacts, and environments.
- Ability to work under deadlines with effective communication across teams.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
