Artech is seeking an experienced Immigration Manager in Morristown, NJ (Hybrid) to mitigate potential risks and enhance our immigration processes and procedures. As part of the Immigration Leadership Team, the IM will collaborate with Business Unit Leaders and the Operations Team to provide subject matter expertise and strategic support to our clients.
Responsibilities:
The Immigration manager is the primary point of contact for leaders within the Business and Operations teams and serves as a liaison between the immigration law firms, the Business, and Recruitment channels besides overseeing the Non-Immigrant (H-1, L-1, TN, E3, O visas, STEM OPT, CPT, EAD), Immigrant visa (PERM, I-140, I-485) processes and the Compliance teams that facilitate the immigration lifecycle for Artech beneficiaries.
- Design, develop and implement Immigration program operational and strategic vision to align with business needs, using a solution-based approach, focused on process excellence and customer service.
- Manage relationships with outside immigration service providers as it relates to program execution and operations. The anticipated volume of petitions range from 75 to over a 100 cases per annum (including but not limited to H-1 CAP requests, H-1 transfers / amendments, COS, extension requests, TN visas, L-1A / L-1B visas, Green card sponsorship requests etc).
- Ensure that the SLAs pertaining to response times, LCA filing and visa petition initiation are adhered to.
- Interface regularly with Immigration SME's, Immigration Business Advisors, Artech Business and Recruiting Leaders and develop working relationships with these stakeholders as appropriate.
- Partner and collaborate with Operations Teams to ensure a positive and consistent immigration experience for the Artech candidates, including the preparation and delivery of written/oral communications, presentations, and reporting.
- Explore and research business visa / work permit regulations for other countries including Canada, Mexico etc., as per Artech's business needs and assist in developing the hiring strategy and establishing Artech internal processes based on the specific regulations.
- Manage execution of the Immigration team's project activities, identify and remediate issues and risks, develop project/program status reports and metrics, and manage stakeholder expectation.
- Maintain an understanding of the business, markets, and service offerings across Artech, including the relevant skills and specialization of the candidates.
- Provide cross-functional and collaborative support across all Immigration work streams based on project needs and individual skillset.
- Manage business and escalations and exceptions with appropriate stakeholders.
- Analyze and present immigration metrics to Recruitment and Business leadership.
- Ensure that Artech immigration reports and compliance data is maintained with a high degree of timeliness and accuracy, and conduct periodic audits and reviews.
- Identify networking opportunities to enhance brand image and continued professional development. Facilitate and participate in immigration related benchmarking with peer organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on US immigration experience (H-1, L-1, TN, E-3, O visas, STEM-OPT,CPT, EADs to name a few)
- Experience working with a virtual workforce across the U.S. and India to meet the needs of the business/client
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and influencing skills needed to counsel and work effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders
- Strong understanding of employment-based immigration processes and procedures
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the IT staffing business, markets, and offerings across Artech
- Strong competency in core professional skills, especially: attention to detail, responsiveness, follow-through, flexibility, initiative, and strategy.
