The Team: Mobility Global B2B division includes the Supply Chain, Technology & Aftermarket team, which develops insights and data on vital areas of the automotive value chain. This role focuses on research for Europe in the Chassis and Materials Domain, covering components like Brake Actuation, Brake Foundation, Dampers and Suspension, Power Steering and Body-in-White, with emphasis on technology, supply chain, materials, and by-wire.
The Impact: The automotive industry is undergoing a significant transformation, with chassis technologies and vehicle materials evolving rapidly in response to electrification, advanced vehicle architectures, lightweighting, cost pressures, and increasingly complex regulatory requirements. As we continue to support our clients in navigating these challenges and identifying emerging market opportunities, we seek a Senior Specialist to strengthen our research initiatives across Europe, develop and maintain strong client relationships from both research and commercial perspectives, and provide strategic expertise across Chassis and Materials.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary research to develop an in-depth understanding of the automotive Chassis and Materials market, with particular attention to regulations, specifications, and supply chain trends.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the market of Europe within the designated research focus, conducting interviews to obtain critical insights and specialized knowledge.
- Present research findings and data through webinars and at industry conferences, tradeshows, and client events.
- Cultivate and maintain a network of contacts at automotive companies, including both OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Respond to client product inquiries and provide support via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
- Participate in project work, including cross-regional and cross-team initiatives as required.
What We’re Looking For
- 2-5 years Tier-1/OEM Chassis or Materials experience required (experiences in the braking or steering industry preferred)
- Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering preferred; other science-based degrees accepted with relevant experience
- Knowledge of current and emerging automotive Chassis and Materials trends at OE level;
- Strong interest and expertise in automotive technology; proven industry connections
- Analytical and data interpretation skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- AI knowledge management experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with database management or analytic tools (e.g., PowerBi, Java, Access, Knime) preferred
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus (particularly German)
- Strong presentation and client interaction skills advantageous
