Role Description This Event Marketing Intern – Generative AI & Digital Campaigns role is an internship opportunity based in Pune with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The intern will support planning and promotion of APMP India events, including webinars, workshops, and conferences, with a focus on applying generative AI tools to create digital marketing content and campaigns. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in event logistics and coordination, drafting event communication materials, managing social media and email outreach, and engaging with participants to provide responsive customer support. The intern will also help analyze campaign performance, maintain contact lists and event databases, and collaborate with team members and volunteers to enhance participant experience and event impact.
Key responsibilities
- Create event marketing content: Produce copy, images, social media posts, reels and videos using tools such as OpenAI ImageGen, Claude Design, NanoBanana, Descript and HeyGen. Use Replit or Lovable to support campaign landing pages and registration experiences. Explore new tools to improve content quality and turnaround time.
- Run campaigns and automate tasks: Support lead generation, lead enrichment and digital marketing through AI-assisted workflows and automation. Plan, publish and track campaigns across LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and Instagram, monitoring engagement, enquiries and registrations.
- Facilitate online events: Help organise and run podcasts, webinars and online sessions using Microsoft Teams, Riverside and Descript. Coordinate speaker briefings, technical checks, recordings and post-event content.
- Manage outreach and follow-ups: Conduct cold calls, respond to participant queries and follow up on registrations. Coordinate with speakers, partners and vendors, maintaining clear records and timely communication.
- Support onsite delivery: Assist with event preparation, participant coordination and onsite activities across India.
What we are looking for
- Experience organising and managing social or cultural events in college or outside, with clear examples of your responsibilities and contribution.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools for content creation, supported by examples of your work.
- Familiarity with social media marketing, marketing automation and lead research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in making calls and engaging with participants, speakers and partners.
- A go-getter attitude: take ownership, solve problems and follow through without waiting for instructions.
- Readiness to learn, experiment and work independently without supervision.
- Passion for the work and a clear focus on delivering outcomes and impact.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Based in Pune and available for hybrid work and travel within India.
