We are looking for a high-energy intern to take a specialized robot arm project from concept to verification. You won't just be shadowing; you’ll be building a critical manipulation component for our humanoid robot, Aeon.
Your Mission
- Design and prototype: Develop a robotic arm and a dedicated test rig to evaluate the design against defined use cases.
- Simulate and test: Run verification and validation tests with the prototype to characterise the robotic arm’s performance across different use cases.
- Improve the design: Analyse test data, identify key performance parameters, and refine the arm design based on the results.
Your Skillset
- Relevant engineering background: You are studying or have completed a BSc or MSc in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, or a closely related field.
- CAD and design skills: You can create and update detailed mechanical designs in CAD, ideally using Siemens NX.
- Hands-on prototyping experience: You are comfortable assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechatronic systems.
- Ownership and delivery mindset: You take initiative, work independently when needed, and stay focused on completing the project.
