A high-impact social development organization is looking for a General Manager – Operations to take ownership across operations, finance, legal compliance, governance and impact measurement.
This is a senior, hands-on opportunity for a professional who can bring structure to complex programs, manage multiple stakeholders and translate strategy into measurable social impact.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
You will work across social development programs, financial planning, compliance, MIS, governance and stakeholder management, partnering with government bodies, NGOs, Trusts, Foundations and CSR stakeholders.
The mandate is particularly suited to professionals who combine NGO/Foundation operations with strong finance and legal-compliance exposure.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Lead strategy and execution of social development programs aligned with SDGs.
- Own budgeting, financial planning and resource allocation.
- Drive MIS, reporting and management presentations.
- Oversee legal, audit, statutory, social and financial compliance.
- Build relationships with government bodies, NGOs, Trusts, Foundations and CSR partners.
- Establish monitoring and impact measurement using SROI, ESG and SDG frameworks.
- Improve operational efficiency through technology and digital tools.
- Build, mentor and lead high-performing teams.
- Strengthen governance, accountability and execution processes.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who has personally managed end-to-end NGO/Trust/Foundation operations, with strong exposure to finance, compliance and governance.
MUST HAVE
- 5–10 years overall experience
- 3+ years of hands-on NGO / Trust / Foundation operations
- B.Com mandatory
- LLB / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA as additional qualification
- Strong finance, budgeting and financial-planning exposure
- Strong legal, statutory and governance compliance experience
- Experience managing social-development programs
- Working understanding of SROI, ESG and SDG frameworks
- Strong MIS, reporting and presentation skills
- Gujarati proficiency mandatory
- English proficiency mandatory
- Strong stakeholder and team-management capability
PREFERRED
- LLB qualification
- Experience handling government/CSR/NGO stakeholders
- Strong legal and statutory compliance orientation
- Experience building governance and monitoring frameworks
