Forward Deployed Engineer | Industrial AI | €80k-100k + Equity | Munich | Hybrid
About the Role
We are working with an early-stage, venture-backed industrial AI company building technology that helps manufacturers connect their data, understand their operations and deploy AI agents to solve real-world factory problems.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll work directly with customers from initial discovery through deployment, helping them identify valuable use cases, integrate their systems and deliver solutions that create measurable operational impact.
What You'll Do
- Work directly with customers to understand their factories, systems, workflows and key operational challenges
- Lead technical discovery and translate manufacturing problems into practical AI agents and workflows
- Integrate industrial data from systems such as PLCs, SCADA, MES, ERP, databases and APIs
- Deploy, troubleshoot and continuously improve solutions while feeding customer insights back into the product team
What We're Looking For
- Strong technical background across software, data, industrial systems or a related field
- Experience with Python, APIs, databases and/or data integration
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to work with engineers, operations teams and enterprise IT
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high ownership and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites
Nice to Have
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial technology, AI or enterprise software
- Familiarity with industrial protocols such as OPC UA or MQTT
- Experience working with AI/ML, automation or complex data environments
- German, French, Italian or another European language alongside fluent English
