Contract: Permanent, full-time
Location: London (hybrid-working)
Closing Date: 22 September 2026
About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially astute Strategic Education Sales Manager to identify, develop and secure high-value partnerships with major education organisations across the UK and Ireland. This is a strategic sales role focused on creating long-term growth opportunities with Multi-Academy Trusts, independent school groups, Music Hubs and other large education organisations.
This is not a traditional business development role centred on selling individual products or generating high volumes of new accounts. Instead, you'll take time to understand an organisation's strategic priorities, challenges and ambitions, then work with senior stakeholders to develop solutions that draw on Trinity College London's Music, Performing Arts and, where appropriate, English Language offer.
You'll build a carefully targeted portfolio of high-potential opportunities, engaging credibly with executive and senior leaders to uncover where Trinity can create meaningful value. Using a consultative and insight-led approach, you'll shape tailored solutions that address organisational goals and deliver sustainable, scalable growth across multiple schools, learner groups and subject areas.
Success in this role will come from the quality and scale of the opportunities you develop, not the volume of organisations you approach. You'll focus on a smaller number of strategically significant partnerships capable of delivering material impact and long-term growth, while positioning Trinity as a trusted education partner rather than simply a provider of qualifications and assessments.
About you
You are a strategic seller who enjoys understanding how organisations operate, what they are trying to achieve and where the opportunities for change exist. You know how to engage senior decision-makers, build credibility quickly and lead conversations that focus on outcomes rather than products.
You have a proven track record of developing and securing complex, high-value partnerships, and are comfortable navigating large organisations, multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles. You are naturally curious, commercially minded and confident in challenging thinking constructively to help customers identify opportunities they may not have previously considered.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience in strategic sales, enterprise sales, solution selling or complex business development.
- A track record of winning and growing high-value opportunities through senior stakeholder engagement.
- Experience building compelling organisational and commercial business cases.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify scalable growth opportunities.
- A consultative, insight-led approach that starts with customer challenges and outcomes.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively across teams to bring together expertise and develop tailored solutions.
Experience of selling into the education sector, particularly schools, Multi-Academy Trusts or other large education organisations, would be highly advantageous, as would experience within EdTech, assessment, qualifications, SaaS or education services environments.
This role would suit someone who enjoys opening doors at a strategic level, shaping solutions around complex organisational needs and converting a small number of high-value opportunities into meaningful, long-term growth.
