Job Summary
The Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) will join the iCONECT platform team as a foundational design contributor responsible for elevating UX maturity across a complex, mature enterprise SaaS application.
The client environment is characterized by high data volume, low initial UX baseline, technical ambiguity, and multiple competing stakeholder groups including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Domain Experts
This role requires a self-directed designer who can establish system-wide UX patterns, navigate ambiguous requirements, and translate complex domain knowledge into clear, scalable product experiences.
Technical Skills (Must Haves)
Proven experience designing complex B2B SaaS applications
Design & Prototyping Tools: Deep proficiency in Figma (or equivalent product-design tools) for creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI, and developer specifications.
Design Systems & Architecture: Proven ability to build, evolve, and scale reusable design systems, interaction patterns, component states, and information architecture across complex, mature platforms.
Data-Heavy Systems Design: Expertise in designing for large volumes of structured and unstructured data, including data grids, complex tables, dashboards, query builders, search filters, bulk actions, and data visualizations.
Understanding of how performance, processing states, permissions, data quality, and incomplete results
affect the user experience.
Technical Fluency & Tooling: Familiarity with software delivery tools such as GitLab, and sufficient technical
fluency to credibly discuss databases, APIs, data structures, and engineering trade-offs with developers.
AI-Assisted Workflows: Experience designing AI/ML interfaces (e.g., intelligent search, timeline visualization,
summarization) while accounting for transparency, provenance, confidence metrics, and human review.
Core Responsibilities
Establish Product UX Baselines: Audit existing workflows, establish practical UX/UI baselines and reusable
interaction patterns, and unify disconnected platform modules into a coherent system.
Redesign Navigation & Core Review Workflows: Overhaul the primary menu and navigation model,
annotations bar, and document/record review interfaces, while managing complex application states
including loading, errors, permissions, and bulk actions.
Design for Complex Data & AI: Create clear experiences for data-management screens, filters, and relationship
views. Define the initial UI direction for an AI-powered facts and events timeline.
Product Marketing & Delivery Alignment: Collaborate with marketing on notification and newsletter designs,
and partner with engineering to slice design initiatives into well-scoped tasks within GitLab.
Soft Skills
Systems-Oriented Thinking: Ability to look past single screens to solve root causes, build reusable patterns, and ensure designs scale across the entire application ecosystem.
Autonomy & Comfort with Ambiguity: Self-managed capacity to drive momentum, document assumptions,
ask precise questions, and keep progress moving even when initial information or requirements are
incomplete.
Active Listening & Problem Translation: Ability to listen carefully to various stakeholders, separate the
underlying problem from the first proposed solution, and balance expert-user depth with clarity for casual
users.
Pragmatic & Feasibility-Focused: Ability to articulate design decisions, edge cases, and trade-offs clearly to product and engineering teams without compromising quality or momentum.
High-Visibility Collaboration: Dependable, transparent communication habits especially during the mandatory daily synchronous window, keeping tasks, blockers, and progress visible to all stakeholders.
Portfolio / Design Assessment: Yes
Candidates are expected to present prior work demonstrating UX systems thinking, data-heavy interface design, and stakeholder communication artifacts during the interview process.
A happy team makes all the difference. That’s why we offer:
Payment in USD
A truly flexible work schedule
A Non-Working Pay Days Policy
Learning Budget
An opportunity for you to help create change in the industry
