The Role Develop and maintain Java-based plugin functionality for modeling tools like Cameo Systems Modeler / MagicDraw Implement SysML model generation capabilities, including Block Definition Diagrams and Activity Diagrams Build and maintain parsers and data models for structured JSON inputs driving model generation Collaborate with AI engineering teams to align plugin behavior with LLM output expectations Diagnose and resolve issues across UI, parsing, API integration, and backend generation logic Contribute to code quality improvements, validation logic, and testing strategy across a multi-repository codebase What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field 3+ years of professional Java development experience Experience designing and maintaining object-oriented systems in production codebases Strong proficiency with JSON parsing/serialization and schema-driven data models Ability to debug complex workflows across UI, parsing, API integration, and backend logic Experience integrating software with REST or HTTP-based APIs Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance What's On Offer Competitive salary range of $85,000 - $100,000 per year with comprehensive benefits 100% company-paid insurance for medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD for eligible employees and family members 401(k) plan with discretionary employer matching and 10 paid holidays Professional development opportunities and resources supporting long-term career growth Apply via Haystack today!
