Business Analyst
We would like to source an additional BA for our initiative. In this role, we are looking for a stronger Technical BA profile with significant experience in data analysis, SQL, integrations, reconciliation, and billing/accounting-related functionality. Experience supporting insurance, healthcare, benefits administration, or student health insurance platforms would be highly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable partnering with both technology teams and accounting/business stakeholders while driving complex requirements, data analysis, and system enhancement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, developers, QA resources, and accounting teams to elicit, document, and refine business and system requirements.
- Translate complex business processes and financial requirements into detailed functional specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mapping documents.
- Support student health insurance platform enhancements, school migrations, billing process enhancements, data migration activities, and related system integrations.
- Perform data analysis, reconciliation, validation, and troubleshooting across multiple systems and data sources.
- Analyze inbound and outbound carrier, enrollment, eligibility, and financial data files to identify discrepancies, rules, and process improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate requirements workshops, backlog refinement sessions, system demonstrations, and UAT activities.
- Support production issue analysis, root cause investigation, and solution validation.
Required Technical Competencies
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst supporting software development projects.
- Ability to read and understand data models, file layouts, interface specifications, APIs, and integration documentation.
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with data mapping, transformation logic, and data migration initiatives.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams using Jira and related SDLC tools.
- AI-Enabled Analysis: Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation, data validation, and user story development while applying appropriate business judgment to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
- Ability to independently analyze complex datasets and communicate findings clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

- Enrollment-to-billing transactional workflows and reconciliation
- Receivables and payment processing
- Billing and financial interfaces
- Accounting financial controls and reporting
