The Company

Snap is a leading print and essential marketing and promotional services partner in Ireland.

Founded in 1984, Snap today employs approximately 100 people across 17 territories in Ireland. We are passionate about helping businesses promote their brands in creative, modern and innovative ways.

Working with Irish SMEs, multinational companies and large corporate organisations, Snap provides a range of products and services across Print, Design, Promotional Products, Signage and Digital Solutions.

The Role

Snap Midlands, based in Monksland, Athlone, is looking for an experienced Part-Time Print Production Operative to join our team.

This is a hands-on production role covering digital printing, print finishing and some wide-format production. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, has excellent attention to detail and is comfortable working independently within a small, busy print centre.

Previous experience within print production is important. Experience with wide-format print is an advantage, while signage installation experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

The role is for 20 hours per week, and we are open to agreeing a working pattern that suits both the successful candidate and the needs of the business. For example, this could be structured across five mornings or three longer/full days per week.

This flexibility may particularly suit someone looking to return to the workplace, balance work with family commitments, or move from a full-time print production role to a part-time position.

- Check print-ready supplied artwork and prepare files for production where appropriate.

- Quality-check jobs throughout the production process and identify any potential issues before completion.

- Ensure jobs are completed in line with agreed customer deadlines.

- Prepare completed jobs for customer collection, courier or delivery.

- Maintain production equipment and ensure relevant maintenance checks and logs are completed.

- Manage materials and stock efficiently and flag requirements in advance.

- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised production environment.

- Liaise with colleagues regarding job requirements, deadlines, artwork or production queries.

- Contribute ideas to improve production processes, efficiency and quality.

- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times in line with the Snap Safety Statement and relevant Health & Safety requirements.

- Assist with other operational or production requirements within the centre as needed.

Key Attributes

We are looking for someone who:

- Is highly organised and capable of managing multiple jobs and deadlines.

- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of their work.

- Is practical and solutions-focused when production issues arise.

- Has a strong work ethic and is willing to be flexible depending on production demands.

- Communicates professionally and works well with colleagues and customers.

- Has a positive, can-do attitude and is willing to learn and develop.

- Understands the importance of keeping a production environment clean, organised and safe.
