JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly skilled individual with previous work experience in the areas of legal, compliance, and corporate governance.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Provide contract support including the tracking and monitoring of contracts, agreements and other legal documentation for review, for signing, and for execution.
- Conduct legal research and render opinions and advisories on matters affecting the Company’s operations.
- Support corporate secretarial activities, including the preparation of shareholder, board, and committee meeting materials, resolutions, minutes, corporate filings, and maintain corporate records.
- Assist in the implementation and administration of the Company’s Anti-Money Laundering, Data Privacy, and other regulatory and corporate compliance programs, including risk assessments, monitoring activities, investigations, training activities, regulatory reporting and acting as alternate compliance officer.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Company’s corporate governance framework in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements, including those of the Insurance Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission, Anti-Money Laundering Council, National Privacy Commission, among others, ensuring policies are updated and implemented, and reports are timely filed as needed.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Legal & Compliance function, including records maintenance and management, administration and budgeting, and the like.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Legal & Compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. Relevant professional certification in the areas of compliance, risk, data privacy, AML, other compliance-related fields is a plus.
Experience: At least 2- 3 years of relevant work experience in legal & compliance work, preferably with another insurance company.
