Summary of the role:
We are hiring a Technical Project Manager to help drive delivery on a flagship client engagement in the insurance sector, working directly under the Engagement Manager. The program spans three connected workstreams:
- AI application delivery — managing the development lifecycle of an AI-powered policy analysis platform built with a third-party product vendor, including release planning, defect management, and launch readiness.
- Quality assurance — coordinating functional, regression, UAT, and non-functional testing cycles across client business teams, our QA specialists, and the vendor's engineering team.
- AI observability, security & governance (OSG) implementation — managing the deployment of AI governance and cybersecurity tooling into the client's Azure environment, including integration planning, rollout sequencing, and risk tracking.
Over time, you will also be deployed onto engagements with other Navikenz clients, so we're looking for someone who builds transferable delivery skills rather than settling into a single account.
This is not a status-report-only PM role. You will be expected to open the product, understand how features actually work, sit in technical design discussions and hold your own, and use AI tools daily to work faster and sharper than a traditional PM can.
What you'll do
- Own day-to-day delivery management across development, QA, and implementation workstreams: plans, dependencies, RAID logs, launch gates, and go/no-go readiness.
- Run the operating rhythm — defect triage, release coordination, UAT scheduling, stakeholder checkpoints — across client business owners, client IT, vendor engineers, and Navikenz specialists.
- Get hands-on with the products being built: exercise features, reproduce defects, validate fixes, and challenge test coverage rather than relying solely on others' summaries.
- Translate between audiences — turn technical detail into crisp executive-ready updates, and business priorities into clear direction for engineering and QA teams.
- Track and escalate risks with evidence, not vibes: know why something is red, what unblocks it, and who owns the decision.
- Prepare client-facing artefacts — status decks, launch plans, meeting notes, decision logs — to a standard fit for CIO-level audiences.
- Use AI tools (Claude, Copilot, and similar) as a core part of your workflow: drafting, analysis, test-case review, documentation, and meeting synthesis. We expect you to be demonstrably more productive because of them.
- Support commercial hygiene: scope tracking against SOWs, change-request inputs, and flagging scope creep early.
What we're looking for
Must have
- 3–6 years of experience managing software or technology delivery projects — enough to have shipped things and hit real problems, without having calcified into one way of working.
- Demonstrated comfort going deep on the product: you've written or reviewed test cases, logged and verified defects, read API docs, or queried a database to answer your own question.
- Working fluency with modern delivery tooling — Azure DevOps (or Jira), test management workflows, and CI/CD concepts.
- Genuine, provable use of AI tools in your daily work — not just "familiarity." Be ready to show us how you use them.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to run a meeting with client executives one hour and a defect triage with engineers the next.
- Experience coordinating multiple parties — client teams, vendors, internal specialists — on one delivery.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based applications — agentic systems, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, or observability tooling.
- Insurance or financial services domain experience (P&C insurance a plus).
- Familiarity with Azure (AKS, APIM, containerised deployments) or comparable cloud platforms.
- Experience with UAT coordination involving non-technical business users.
- QA background or ISTQB-style grounding.
- Consulting or client-services experience.
Who thrives here
- People who ask "how does this actually work?" before asking "what's the status?"
- People who treat AI tools as leverage, not novelty.
- People comfortable with ambiguity — plans change weekly on live client programs, and you adapt without drama.
- People who write clearly, think in dependencies, and take ownership of outcomes rather than tasks.
What we offer
- Direct exposure to end-to-end AI platform delivery — development, QA, governance, and launch — on a live enterprise program.
- Mentorship from senior engagement leadership and a clear path toward engagement management.
- A front-row seat to how AI governance and agentic security tooling gets implemented in regulated industries — a fast-growing, career-defining specialization.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
