A medical robotics startup developing a complex multidisciplinary surgical system is looking for a highly experienced Senior Hardware System Engineer with strong system-level thinking, deep hands-on hardware expertise and experience developing complex medical products
What you’ll do:
- Lead hardware architecture and system-level design
- Own complex board and system design activities
- Perform bring-up, debugging and integration of multidisciplinary hardware systems
- Lead HW/SW integration and support system-level troubleshooting
- Participate in design reviews, V&V activities and technical decision-making
- Work closely with software, mechanics, system, regulatory and manufacturing teams
- Develop and integrate motion-control-related hardware, including servo systems, BLDC motors, FOC and encoders
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of hands-on hardware development experience
- Experience in board design and complex multidisciplinary system design
- Experience developing complex medical devices
- Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging and multidisciplinary system integration
- Familiarity with medical device standards and development processes
- Experience with servo systems, BLDC motors, FOC and encoders – advantage
