Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic n8n AI Engineer to embed directly within the teams at a prominent government entity based out of Abu Dhabi. You will lead the adoption and scaling of intelligent automation workflows, bridging advanced AI/LLM models with critical government operational channels.
Key Responsibilities & Core Focus Areas
- Workflow Automation & Integration (n8n Mastery)
- Build & Maintain Workflows: Implement, test, and optimize complex automation workflows and system integrations from technical specs, keeping existing n8n pipelines robust and healthy.
- System Interoperability: Connect internal databases, legacy government platforms, and external APIs seamlessly using custom n8n nodes and HTTP request handlers.
- Model Implementation & Generative AI Integration
- Support AI Features: Wire up Large Language Model (LLM) and vector-store nodes within n8n pipelines to automate citizen engagement and internal decision-making.
- RAG Pipelines: Prepare, chunk, embed, and ingest unstructured government data into vector databases to power accurate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows.
- Model Wrapping: Deploy, monitor, and wrap machine learning models into robust real-time automation channels.
- Departmental Engagement & Enablement
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work side-by-side with various internal business units and policy teams to identify automation bottlenecks and design tailored AI solutions.
- Enablement & Training: Empower internal staff through workshops, documentation, and best-practice sharing to drive long-term autonomous adoption of n8n.
- Monitoring, Debugging & Governance
- Execution Monitoring: Actively watch workflow executions, troubleshoot failures, and implement fallback mechanisms.
- Documentation & Security: Keep comprehensive, clear technical documentation while adhering to Abu Dhabi government data privacy and cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in software engineering, workflow automation, or AI/ML integration, with verified expertise in n8n (self-hosted or cloud).
- AI & LLM Stack: Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models via Ollama/HuggingFace), vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant, Chroma), and building RAG pipelines.
- Programming & APIs: Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; deep understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and JSON data structures.
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English (Mandatory) to effectively communicate with stakeholders and review Arabic government document workflows.
- Location & Availability: Must be based in or ready to relocate onsite in Abu Dhabi with immediate availability to start.
