We are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in Water & Wastewater Treatment projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical design, engineering documentation, and testing & commissioning of electrical systems for WTP, STP, ETP, or WWTP projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical design documentation.
- Prepare power and control cable sizing, cable schedules, cable tray layouts, voltage-drop calculations, and load balancing.
- Prepare control philosophies and provide inputs for instrumentation and control systems.
- Plan LV and MV electrical systems, including MCCs, transformers, and fire alarm systems.
- Prepare material submittals and provide technical inputs/guidance for shop drawings.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and testing & commissioning documentation.
- Prepare and review O&M manuals and other project documentation.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with VFDs and soft starters for energy-efficient motor control applications.
- Support testing, commissioning, installation, and project execution activities.
Must-Have Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience specifically in Water & Wastewater Treatment projects.
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Strong experience in electrical design for WTP/STP/ETP/WWTP projects.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SLDs
- Cable sizing
- Cable tray layouts
- Voltage-drop calculations
- Load balancing
- MCCs
- Transformers
- VFDs
- Soft starters
- Experience preparing material submittals, method statements, risk assessments, and O&M manuals.
- Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems in water/wastewater treatment projects.
- Good knowledge of applicable electrical codes and regulatory compliance.
- Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days preferred.
