Role Description The Hyundai Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Burleson Texas area. This role is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Hyundai vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, completing repair orders, and documenting work performed in the service management system. The technician will use specialized tools and diagnostic equipment, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with service advisors and parts teams to ensure efficient service and high customer satisfaction. The role also involves staying current with Hyundai technical bulletins, training modules, and updated repair procedures.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical repairs using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, engines, brakes, suspension, and HVAC components.
- Skill in reading and interpreting technical manuals, repair diagrams, and electronic service information.
- Strong attention to detail in documenting repair work, following safety standards, and maintaining clean work areas.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for working with service advisors, parts personnel, and other technicians.
- Basic computer skills for using dealership service software and Hyundai training platforms.
- Automotive technician certification (ASE or equivalent) preferred; Hyundai-specific certifications are a plus.
- Completion of an automotive technology program or equivalent hands-on experience in vehicle service is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development to keep pace with evolving vehicle technology.
