The SDE is a hands-on engineer who designs, builds and ships production features for the Virtual C-Suite product. This person delivers high-quality, well-tested code independently and contributes to technical decisions within the team.
The role requires 3 days on site, 2 remotely, mandatory. Location: Mexico City

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services in Java / Spring Boot.
- Build Python-based components that integrate Azure AI Foundry / LLM models for content and conversation processing.
- Develop responsive front-end features in React where required.
- Write unit / integration tests and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering quality.
- Work with NoSQL / document databases and deploy via CI/CD pipelines to Kubernetes on Azure/AWS.
- Collaborate within the autonomous Scrum team to estimate, plan and deliver roadmap items.
Must-Have Skills
- Proficient in English level (B1-C1)
- Strong hands-on Java / Spring Boot development.
- Working Python for AI/LLM or backend services.
- REST APIs, microservices; NoSQL / document databases.
- Experience with CI/CD, containers and cloud (Azure or AWS).
- Solid engineering fundamentals – data structures, design patterns, testing.
Nice to Have
- React front-end experience.
- GenAI / LLM integration, prompt engineering, or RAG experience; Databricks exposure.
- Comfortable operating in a fully autonomous team that owns delivery end-to-end.
- Strong fundamentals in the relevant discipline and a good culture fit – collaborative, ownership-driven and outcome-focused.
- Able to work in a cloud-agnostic environment (Azure today, expanding to AWS).
- Hybrid working – 3 days per week from the Mexico City office, with emphasis on in-person collaboration during the early build phase.
