▶︎About the Role
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will collaborate with English-speaking engineering and business teams across Japan, the United States, and Europe.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and validating machine learning models and autonomous AI agents using both predictive and generative AI technologies.
🔑Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing machine learning models and AI agents
- Evaluating multiple AI providers to optimize cost, performance, and system resilience
- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines, model training processes, monitoring systems, and version-control workflows
- Improving the performance, latency, scalability, and reliability of machine learning systems
- Fine-tuning large language models and designing training pipelines
- Researching and proposing new technologies related to machine learning, MLOps, and LLMs
- Working closely with business teams from problem definition and specification design through release and continuous improvement
- Proactively proposing product improvements and contributing to the product roadmap
Depending on performance and career preferences, opportunities to work with overseas development teams may also be available.

Annual salary: ¥7,000,000 - ¥15,000,000
The final salary and bonus structure will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and expected responsibilities.
▶︎Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Business-level English proficiency for collaboration with teams in the United States and Europe
- Hands-on experience developing production-grade backend services and machine learning pipelines
- Experience working with large, multi-module Python codebases
- Experience with LLM orchestration, including structured outputs, tool use, and multi-step agent workflows
- Practical experience with tabular machine learning pipelines, such as feature engineering, ranking models, learning-to-rank, and model validation
- Familiarity with modern DevOps and MLOps practices, including Docker, testing, mocking, and CI/CD pipelines

- Work location: Tokyo
- Hybrid work arrangement
- Office attendance: Approximately one or two days per week
- Discretionary working system: Eight deemed working hours per day
- Average working hours: Approximately 160 hours per month
- Global collaboration with engineering teams in Japan, the United States, and Europe
- English is the primary language for cross-border collaboration
The frequency of office attendance may change depending on future company policies.
