We are looking for an experienced developer for lidar based SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) algorithm.
Job Description
We have been developing a SLAM algorithm (vitomSLAM) using 3D lidar sensors and IMU to digitalize the infra-structures, streets, crop-fields and many other land marks. Our SLAM algorithm is used in our own 3D scanners - MK3 and Robin. We will further extend our SLAM to an innovative self-navigation platform where robots and 3D mapping station collaborate.
The candidate will also involve in fusion development which will combines RGB image data and 3D point cloud data so that our 3D model based applications, e.g. infra-inspection, segmentation and object tracking can be running on.
The candidate must be familiar with the fundamentals of machine learning programming for image processing. Or the candidate may have knowledge of 3D reconstruction technology such as SfM and/or 3D Gaussian Splatting.
The qualification for the candidate is:
- Over two years of SLAM developed based on Lidar and IMU
- Good knowledge of pose graph optimization
- Basic or extended knowledge of computer vision and image processing
- Fundamentals of ICP and SLAM
- Bachelors or higher degree in computer science or electrical engineering
- Knowledge of Linux, C++ and python
- Knowledge of ROS2
- Knowledge of 3DGS
Desired Soft Skills:
+ Creativity, focus, and self motivation
+ Desire to keep up with the latest trends, innovations, and opportunities in computer vision, digital twin and robots
+ Good communication skills
+ Team player
+ Self-learning and continuous improvement
