Are you someone who's spent years keeping systems running, secure, and properly configured, not just requesting access to them?
At SMART, we're growing our Cyber Security team and looking for a hands-on specialist who understands how infrastructure, networks, and identity systems work together, and who's ready to help us design, implement, and continuously strengthen our security posture.
This is a role for builders and administrators, not ticket processors.
💡 What You'll Be Doing
- Administer and secure enterprise infrastructure, including servers, systems, and network environments
- Implement and maintain security controls across identity, network, and endpoint layers
- Own the day-to-day administration of Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID
- Apply network security fundamentals to protect systems from unauthorized access and threats
- Support the rollout and operationalization of new security platforms and capabilities
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to deliver end-to-end security solutions
- Continuously evaluate and improve how our security controls are designed and deployed
🧠 What We're Looking For (the non-negotiables)
- Strong hands-on experience administering security infrastructure (servers, systems, platforms) in a live production or enterprise environment — not primarily personal projects, certifications, or lab environments
- Solid understanding of network security fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, segmentation)
- Proven experience administering Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID
- Ability to understand how these technologies work together from an architectural perspective
- Real, hands-on experience implementing and operating security controls — not just monitoring or requesting them
📌 Note: This role is not focused on access provisioning, access reviews, or audit support. If your background is mainly in those areas, this may not be the right fit, but we may have other opportunities where your experience is a stronger match.
🚀 Trainable On the Job (don't worry if you don't have these yet)
You don't need to already know every tool we use. If you have a solid foundation and understand the principles of Zero Trust or SASE, we'll train you on:
- Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA)
- VMware vSphere
- Endpoint Detection & Response (SentinelOne, CrowdStrike)
- PAM platforms (Delinea, CyberArk)
- WAF and other security platforms in our stack
