The two System Engineers-Spok System will provide technical expertise and support for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Spok communication system and devices used for critical patient-care support to the Clinical Center. This role ensures the system operates efficiently and aligns CIT's requirements, maintaining flexibility and continuity of resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for the Call Center systems
- Install, configure, and maintain the Spok communication system.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure system security and compliance with organizational policies.
- Provide technical support and training to users.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Spok with other systems.
- Perform regular system upgrades and patches.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Provide on-call support as appropriate
- Ensure cross-training and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field or seven years of relevant experience,
- Experience with Spok and similar communication systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system engineering or administration.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- - Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) are a plus.
- ITIL certification is preferred.
