Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Manager to lead technical support and technical capability development across the Benelux region while supporting technical operations in other European markets.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical interface between dealers, service partners, headquarters, and regional teams. This role is responsible for resolving complex technical issues, delivering technical training, developing technical documentation, and supporting the establishment of aftersales technical standards across Europe.

The role will play a key part in ensuring high-quality repair standards, dealer technical competence, and customer satisfaction across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Field Operations
- Provide technical support to dealer and service partner networks across the Benelux region.
- Investigate and resolve complex vehicle technical issues, including high-voltage systems, electrical systems, software-related concerns, and mechanical repairs.
- Act as the escalation point for difficult diagnostic and repair cases.
- Support Vehicle Off Road (VOR) cases and other critical customer incidents.
- Coordinate technical issue resolution with headquarters engineering, quality, and product teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide corrective action recommendations.
- Monitor field quality issues and identify recurring technical trends.
Dealer Technical Support
- Serve as the primary technical contact for dealer workshop personnel.
- Provide remote and on-site technical assistance when required.
- Support dealer workshop setup, service readiness, and technical process implementation.
- Assist dealers in improving diagnostic efficiency and repair quality.
- Monitor dealer technical performance and recommend improvement actions.
Technical Training & Capability Development
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for dealer technicians, workshop managers, and service personnel.
- Conduct classroom, virtual, and hands-on technical training sessions.
- Support technician certification and qualification programs.
- Assess training effectiveness and continuously improve training materials.
- Participate in new model launch training activities across Europe.
Technical Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Develop, localize, and maintain technical manuals, repair procedures, service bulletins, and technical communications.
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with headquarters requirements.
- Support the creation and maintenance of troubleshooting guides and diagnostic procedures.
- Manage technical knowledge databases and information sharing processes.
- Translate complex technical information into practical guidance for dealer networks.
Quality & Product Feedback
- Collect and analyze field technical data and warranty information.
- Provide structured feedback to headquarters regarding product quality, reliability, and serviceability.
- Support quality improvement campaigns and corrective action programs.
- Participate in technical investigations related to customer complaints and recurring issues.
- Support service campaigns, recalls, and technical field actions.
European Market Support
- Provide technical support to additional European markets beyond Benelux when required.
- Assist in establishing technical support processes for newly launched markets.
- Support dealer onboarding and service network development across Europe.
- Collaborate with country managers, aftersales teams, and service partners throughout the region.
- Participate in the development of European aftersales and technical service strategies.
Systems & Technical Tools Management
- Support implementation and operation of technical information systems, diagnostic tools, and service platforms.
- Ensure proper utilization of technical support systems within the dealer network.
- Monitor technical case management processes and KPIs.
- Generate technical performance reports and service quality analyses.
Compliance & Process Development
- Ensure compliance with company technical standards, repair procedures, and safety requirements.
- Promote best practices in vehicle diagnostics, repair quality, and workshop operations.
- Support technical audits and dealer assessments.
- Develop and continuously improve technical support processes and operational standards.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Advanced automotive technical certifications are highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive technical support, diagnostics, field service engineering, technical training, or aftersales operations.
- Experience with automotive OEMs, importers, or dealer networks is preferred.
- Experience with electric vehicles (EV), high-voltage systems, and connected vehicle technologies is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting multiple European markets is considered a strong advantage.
- Start-up or fast-growth company experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of automotive electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software systems.
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic tools and technical information systems.
- Experience developing technical documentation and training materials.
- Understanding of warranty processes, field quality analysis, and root cause investigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and technical reporting tools.
Language Skills
- Fluent English is required.
- Dutch is an advantage.
- Additional European languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian) are highly valued.
