The Role
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work closely with customers to turn ambiguous business problems into practical AI solutions and production workflows.
You will contribute across the deployment lifecycle, from understanding customer requirements and rapid prototyping to building, testing, debugging, documentation and deployment.
You will work alongside Forward Deployed Engineers, AI engineers and other technical team members while gaining direct exposure to customers and real operating environments.
What You Will Do
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs, workflows and technical requirements.
- Help turn ambiguous business problems into practical technical solutions and workflows.
- Build custom applications, LLM workflows and solutions designed around specific customer requirements.
- Develop with AI models, tools, frameworks, prompts and workflow patterns to assess feasibility and performance.
- Build AI-native workflows, agents, scripts and lightweight applications.
- Integrate AI solutions with data, APIs and existing software applications.
- Apply software engineering practices including modular code, version control and test cases.
- Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the deployment process.
- Document technical assumptions, implementation decisions and production considerations.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred.
- Ability to build custom applications, LLM workflows and production solutions tailored to specific customer environments.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Strong ownership in solving technical problems across data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure and front-end frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and “make decisions with incomplete information.”
- Experience with both technical and non-technical teams in fast-changing environments where objectives evolve and solutions require iteration
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to take ownership of open-ended technical problems.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and iterating quickly based on feedback.
