KorGuard is expanding its engineering team.
We build local machine learning models that detect and stop sensitive information before it reaches external AI tools. We are currently live in 3 healthcare clinics and expect to be live in 5 by the end of the month. New models are already in development, including models built for the legal industry.
We are looking for engineers who are extremely strong technically, move fast, and do not need much hand holding.
You will be joining our machine learning model development team and working directly with some of the founders on our models, training data, evaluation systems, and production infrastructure.
The work is straightforward to describe and difficult to do well: initiate build of next model, improve detection, reduce false positives, keep latency low, and make the models work reliably on messy real world data.
Qualifications:
- Hunger.
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, including data structures, optimization, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for detection, classification, and anomaly identification tasks.
- Strong machine learning fundamentals
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning (such as Python) and frameworks (such as TensorFlow or PyTorch).
- Experience training and deploying real models
- Strong understanding of NLP, classification, statistics, and model evaluation
- Ability to work independently and ship quickly
- Experience at a startup is a major plus
- High standards and willingness to take ownership beyond a defined job description

Compensation and equity are negotiable based on the person.
