We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong expertise in network automation and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching for on-site support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure while driving automation initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on Layer 2/Layer 3 switching technologiesDevelop and implement network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and troubleshootingManage and optimize network performance, availability, and security across data center and campus environmentsAutomate routine network operations using scripting and orchestration toolsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support network integration and deployment effortsTroubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysisMaintain up-to-date network documentation, diagrams, and operational proceduresParticipate in change management, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of network engineering experience Strong expertise in: Layer 2/Layer 3 switching (VLANs, VRRP, MC-LAG, STP, VTP, PortChannel, and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP)Network design and troubleshooting in enterprise environments Hands-on experience with network automation tools, such as: Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Ansible, or similar scripting/automation frameworksREST APIs and network programmability concepts Familiarity with major networking platforms (e.g., Dell, Cisco, Arista, Juniper) Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals
