About the Role
We are looking for a Prompt Engineer to join our EdTech product team. The role will focus on designing, testing, and optimizing prompts for various AI-powered applications within our products, including tools focused on student/user retention and engagement.
You will work closely with product, engineering, and content teams to ensure AI-generated outputs are accurate, relevant, consistent, and aligned with the intended user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and write effective prompts for different AI-powered product features and workflows.
Develop prompts for applications such as retention, engagement, personalization, and educational support tools.
Test, evaluate, and continuously improve prompts based on AI output quality.
Create different prompt variations and identify the most effective approaches for specific use cases.
Work with structured and unstructured data to improve AI responses and outcomes.
Establish prompt templates, guidelines, and best practices for different applications.
Identify inconsistencies, hallucinations, and other quality issues in AI-generated responses.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate and refine prompts.
Monitor AI performance and make iterative improvements based on user feedback and product requirements.
Document prompts, testing results, and optimization processes.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience working with Generative AI, prompt engineering, AI content, or similar roles.
Strong understanding of LLMs and how prompt structure affects AI outputs.
Hands-on experience writing and optimizing prompts for different use cases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written English and attention to detail.
Ability to test AI outputs objectively and identify areas for improvement.
Experience with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI platforms.
Ability to understand product requirements and translate them into effective AI prompts.
Nice to Have
Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or consumer-facing AI products.
Experience with AI-powered retention, engagement, personalization, or recommendation tools.
Basic understanding of APIs, JSON, structured outputs, or automation workflows.
Familiarity with prompt evaluation frameworks and AI quality metrics.
Basic technical knowledge of Python or similar programming languages.
