⚠️ Excluding requirement: We need real experience in the media, streaming and similar industries. If you don't have hands-on experience integrating or extending DAM or MAM platforms in production environments, working on large-scale video production, publishing, archiving, and distribution workflows, or integrating rights-management or content licensing platforms, please DO NOT APPLY to this search.
🚀 About the Role
We're looking for a Media Engineering Lead / Software Architect to lead the architecture and evolution of our global video, streaming and digital media platforms.
If you have experience designing high-volume distributed systems, optimizing audiovisual processing flows (ingestion, transcoding, DAM/MAM), and integrating advanced AI capabilities into media engineering, this challenge is for you.
🛠️ What you'll do
- Media Architecture: Lead the design and evolution of global video and digital content workflows.
- Backend Development & Integrations: Build robust services and connect platforms like Mimir, CHP, WordPress, Rightsline and digital asset management systems.
- Complex Audiovisual Flows: Design pipelines for video ingestion, transcoding, archiving, metadata, publishing and high-speed semantic search.
- AI / ML Integration: Implement automatic video analysis capabilities, tag generation, tagging, quality control and advanced vector search.
- Scalability and Performance: Optimize reliability, resilience and response speed in systems exposed to massive traffic.
- Technical Leadership: Define engineering standards, conduct code reviews and act as an escalation point to resolve production incidents.
🎯 Main Requirements (Must Have)
- 8+ years of solid experience in software development and backend engineering.
- Advanced command of Java, Python, Go or equivalent languages for distributed architectures.
- Proven experience working with or integrating DAM (Digital Asset Management) or MAM (Media Asset Management) platforms in production.
- Experience with large-scale video production, processing, archiving and distribution workflows.
- Experience integrating rights-management or content licensing platforms.
- Solid knowledge of APIs, SQL / NoSQL databases, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and microservices.
