🩺 We’re Hiring: Clinical AI Research Intern
SympliCare AI is looking for a Clinical AI Research Intern to join our growing team. We are currently exploring an exciting R&D project focused on how AI models can be structured, tested and evaluated using evidence-based clinical reasoning cases. This is not about simply asking an AI model clinical questions and checking whether the final answer is correct.
We are interested in deeper questions:
How does an AI model reason when new clinical information becomes available?
Can it recognise important risks and red flags?
Can it prioritise the right information?
Does it recognise uncertainty?
Does it know when human clinical oversight is required?
And importantly—how can we identify and understand potential failure modes?
We are looking for a motivated clinical, healthcare or biomedical research-focused individual who would like to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of:
🩺 Healthcare
🤖 Artificial Intelligence
📚 Clinical Research
🔬 Evidence-Based Practice
🛡️ AI Safety and Clinical Governance
What you’ll be working on
You will support our Clinical Advisor and wider R&D team with:
• Researching relevant clinical guidelines and evidence sources
• Supporting the development of structured clinical case scenarios
• Reviewing and organising evidence and guideline references
• Helping create case metadata and evaluation rubrics
• Identifying common pitfalls and potential unsafe AI responses
• Supporting literature reviews and evidence mapping
• Organising AI model outputs and evaluation results
• Supporting research documentation, reports and presentations
