This role presents a strong opportunity for someone looking to apply deep technical and modelling expertise while working closely with stakeholders across a fast-paced, high-performing team.

About the role:

This is a role for someone who enjoys leading teams, managing complex projects, and solving real-world financial services challenges in a fast-paced environment. You’ll sit at the intersection of analytics, audit, and regulatory change – leading the delivery of data and modelling initiatives, shaping how analytics is applied across the audit lifecycle, and working closely with senior stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes.

Essential requirements:

- Experience working within an analytics or modelling environment in financial services, ideally within professional services or a large financial institution.

- Proven experience leading multiple teams and projects, managing competing deadlines and senior stakeholders.

- Strong project and engagement management skills, with accountability for delivery, quality, timelines and client relationships.

- Experience managing, mentoring and developing junior team members, with a track record of building high-performing teams.

- Strong understanding of banking and capital markets, with knowledge of one or more financial asset classes such as derivatives, loans or mortgages.

- Strong technical capability, including advanced Excel and SQL, plus experience with at least one of Python/PySpark, VBA, Tableau or Power BI.

- Excellent attention to detail, including experience reviewing code, analytical outputs and documentation.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.

- A quantitative degree or equivalent background in a relevant discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, engineering or a related field.

Desirable requirements:

- Professional qualification or progress towards one, such as CQF, FRM, CFA, ACA or CIMA.

- Understanding of the financial services regulatory environment and data quality frameworks such as BCBS 239.

- Experience developing or working with cashflow models.

- Experience working across audit, assurance, analytics or regulatory change environments.
