Contract Research Associate / Senior Research Associate, Bioanalytical Sciences

Position Overview

We are seeking a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate, Bioanalytical Sciences to support discovery, pharmacology, and preclinical development programs. This is a hands-on, bench-focused role centered on the execution, troubleshooting, optimization, and development of quantitative bioanalytical assays, with a strong emphasis on MSD-based immunoassays.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute MSD ELISA immunoassays supporting pharmacokinetic, biodistribution, target engagement, and biomarker studies.

- Develop, optimize, and qualify MSD methods, including reagent selection, titration, matrix/interference assessment, spike recovery, parallelism, dilutional linearity, precision, assay range, and analyte stability.

- Prepare biological samples for quantitative analysis, including tissue homogenization and cell lysate preparation.

- Analyze, interpret, and present bioanalytical data to cross-functional discovery teams.

- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure adherence to protocols and applicable requirements.

- Support laboratory operations, reagent inventory, and assay transfers to external CRO partners as needed.

Qualifications

- BS + 3 years or MS + 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience in biotech, pharma, CRO, or a related setting.

- Degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, bioengineering, or a related discipline.

- Hands-on experience with MSD ELISA assays is required.

- Working knowledge of ligand-binding assays, including assay design, reagent selection, matrix effects, and standard curve analysis.

- Experience with cell culture, transfection, iPSCs, or primary cell culture is a plus.

- Proficiency with GraphPad Prism and Excel and comfort applying basic statistics to quantitative assay data.

- Experience with an ELN/LIMS such as Benchling and strong documentation practices.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple studies, and meet timelines with minimal supervision.
