Position Overview
Job title: Field Application Engineer
Location: Sagemcom Dallas US R&D Center
Contract: Full‑time, permanent position
About the Role
Sagemcom is looking for a hands-on Field Application Engineer to support customer deployments, troubleshoot technical issues, and work closely with customers, R&D teams, modem vendors, and telecom carriers.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience with embedded systems, IoT, connected devices, or telecom products
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and cellular networks
- Experience with 4G/LTE/5G, modems, or connectivity troubleshooting
- Ability to analyze logs, reproduce issues, identify root causes, and validate fixes
- Experience supporting customer deployments, PoCs, field testing, or technical integrations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field preferred
Experience with routers, gateways, CPEs, cellular modems, embedded Linux, Jira, or telecom operators would be a plus.
