Job Description
We are looking for a Software Platform Engineer I with strong experience in Java-based application development, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs following industry best practices and design patterns.
- Build cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Design and optimize database schemas, application performance, and system scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to secure coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, and production releases.
- Monitor application health, performance, and observability to ensure system reliability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and collaborate effectively within Agile teams.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in software development using Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, and API Design.
- Experience with Python for scripting or application development.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Database Design, Design Patterns, and Scalable System Design.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices.
- Proficiency in Code Reviews, Secure Coding, Unit Testing, and Integration Testing.
- Experience in Performance Optimization, Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and Production Support.
- Knowledge of Monitoring & Observability tools and practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience building high-availability, distributed enterprise applications.
