Product Manager
Salary: $200k - $275k base
Location: San Francisco (In-person, Full-time)
Morpheus are partnered with a business that teaches AI models what great quality looks like in subjective domains, starting with design. The whole company is built around the idea that quality in these areas is real, measurable, and worth investing in. They hire people who care about craft. You do not have to be a designer. You do have to have strong opinions about quality in something, and be able to back them up.
What You Would Own
You own the internal tools and infrastructure that make expert-driven data development possible: the systems that route work, surface quality signals, and give the team visibility into project health. You work closely with engineering, design, and the operators running partner engagements to figure out what needs to be built next and why.
What You'll Do
- Define product priorities based on what's actually slowing the team down, not just what's easiest to build
- Work directly with the operators delivering partner projects to understand where the tooling helps and where it gets in the way
- Partner with engineering and design to scope, sequence, and ship improvements at pace
- Own the roadmap for internal platform tools, balancing speed with long-term structure
- Turn ambiguous, evolving needs into clear specs and shippable increments
- Track adoption and impact of what you ship, and know when something isn't working
What They're Looking For
- A track record of shipping product in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, ideally at an early or scaling company
- Comfort working on internal tools and operator-facing platforms, not just customer-facing products
- Strong instincts for prioritisation: knowing what matters now versus what can wait
- Ability to work closely with both technical teams and operators who aren't engineers
- A genuine interest in quality and craft, and the judgment to know good work when you see it
- High agency and a bias toward building over discussing

- You need detailed requirements handed to you before you can start
- Your default output is a roadmap doc rather than a shipped product
- You haven't worked closely with the people actually using what you build
