The ARM Group is hiring a "Forward Deployed Engineer " for one of our clients.
Locations: New York, NY | San Francisco, CA | Toronto, Canada
Role:
We’re looking for a strong full-stack engineer to work directly with portfolio-company operators, identify high-impact workflows and ship production agentic software into live operations.
You won’t be creating presentations or building one-off demos—you’ll build and operate real systems that deliver measurable business outcomes.
What you’ll do:
• Work directly with GMs, executives and operators to identify high-leverage automation opportunities.
• Build and launch integrations, prompts, evals, agentic workflows and user interfaces.
• Own deployments end to end—from discovery and development through launch, optimization and operational handoff.
• Monitor deployed systems, improve reliability and adjust autonomy and human-review controls.
• Convert successful deployments into reusable playbooks for future portfolio companies.
What we’re looking for:
• 3–6 years of full-stack, product, customer-facing or forward-deployed engineering experience.
• Experience shipping production LLM or agentic applications—not just demos or prototypes.
• Hands-on proficiency with TypeScript or Python, React and SQL.
• Ability to independently own frontend, backend, integrations and deployment.
• Experience working directly with customers, executives or business operators.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into technical solutions.
• Experience using AI development tools or coding agents in your daily workflow.
• Based in or willing to relocate to New York, San Francisco or Toronto and comfortable with travel.
Experience with Go, Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Iceberg, event-driven systems, private equity, consulting or vertical SaaS would be an advantage.
If you’ve shipped real AI systems and enjoy solving operational problems directly with customers, I’d be interested in speaking with you.
