Role Description The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of AVEOS Solution’s technology platforms that support training and consultancy services. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Berlin, Germany, with a mix of on-site work and flexible work-from-home arrangements. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring systems and infrastructure, troubleshooting incidents, and implementing proactive measures to reduce downtime and improve service stability. The SRE will collaborate with software development and operations teams to design and maintain robust deployment pipelines, automate routine tasks, and optimize resource usage. The role also involves participating in incident response, documenting post-incident reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement of observability, security, and operational practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Site Reliability Engineering skills, including designing for reliability, scalability, and observability.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Troubleshooting and incident management skills for diagnosing and resolving complex system issues.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills, such as scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Go, or similar) to build tools and automate workflows.
- Candidates should possess System Administration skills, including managing Linux-based environments, networking fundamentals, and security best practices.
- Candidates should possess Infrastructure-related skills, such as working with cloud platforms, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Relevant experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) is beneficial.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly in English; German language skills are an advantage.
- Experience in aviation, education technology, or professional training environments is a plus.
