Role purpose
A horizontal enablement seat serving every pillar of the marketing team. Leadership wants AI and automation visibly embedded across marketing — reporting automation, a content engine, campaign tooling. You will take briefs from each pillar and ship working automations, dashboards and AI workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Build workflow automations across marketing tools (Zapier/Make, HubSpot, Slack, sheets, internal systems) on brief from pillar leads.
- Automate reporting: build and maintain dashboards that replace manual weekly/monthly report assembly.
- Stand up AI-assisted workflows for content production, campaign operations and research (prompt libraries, agents, review loops).
- Evaluate, pilot and recommend AI tools; prevent tool sprawl by consolidating where possible.
- Document every automation with SOPs so nothing is person-dependent.
- Train team members on the workflows you build and drive adoption.
- Maintain reporting infrastructure: data connections, tracking hygiene, dashboard accuracy.
- Prioritise a cross-pillar backlog with the Group VP; ship something usable every sprint.
What you'll bring
Must-have
- 2+ years building automations (Zapier, Make, n8n, scripts or similar) in a business context.
- Hands-on experience with LLM tools and APIs (ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini) beyond casual use — built workflows, not just prompts.
- Dashboarding experience (Looker Studio, Power BI or similar) with marketing data.
- Comfortable with APIs, webhooks and light scripting.
- Strong documentation habits: SOPs, loom walkthroughs, handover-ready builds.
- Delivery mindset: ships small and often, measures impact.
Nice-to-have
- Marketing-domain experience (understands campaigns, funnels, CRM data).
- Python or JavaScript proficiency.
- Experience with HubSpot operations or CRM automation.
